Robert Watkins, Rochester City Athletic Conference Champion in the Shot put. Place 4th overall in indoor State in the Shot Put. He was undefeated in the RCAC in the Shot Put this year. He is also the School of the Arts record Holder in the Shot Put.
Zoe Christopher is the first student in RCSD history to be awarded a Division I scholarship in the sport of Rowing.
Zoe Christopher has been named Scholar Athlete of the week by WHEC Channel 10 News. She has excelled in the sport of rowing as well in the classroom. This year she was named Youth Rower of the Year by Cross Currents Rowing Club.

has been inducted to the Women’s Hall of Fame!
She was awarded the
Women’s Hall of Fame Lives and Legacy Award
for her contributions to Arts and Entertainment. The ceremony is part of the MamaPalooza Festival 2009, which is a world-wide festival that honors women.

Senior dance major Magdaliz Feliz has won the 2009 Monroe County Young Citizen of the year Award.

Creative Writing
Congratulations to Hanna Amireh, one of 6 national winners in the 2010 Nicholas Virgilio Memorial Haiku Comp. There were 1,575 entries in this year’s competition.
Taisha Marrero, was selected to win first place in the 6-8 grade age category in the ELS & Writers & Books There’s No Place Like Home Poetry Contest.
